KATRINA B. BROWN
OWNER & DIRECTOR OF DANCE
Katrina B. Brown, or Miss Katie, has been dancing for over 28 years. Growing up in Long Island, NY she began her training at 2 under Lily Chevalier, a Master Ballet trainer, and former NYC Rockette and French Ballerina. Miss Katie trained in both Vaganova Ballet Technique, and Ceccehetti Technique. She then began training in Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, and Modern, and Tap as well as performing in several competition teams with Accent On Dance, under Robert Machado. Discovering her true passion through dance, she ventured through Eastern University as a Dance Major. After completing her higher education, she received acclaim as a teacher at School of Dance Arts, Frist Position Dance Arts, and where ITM was born...Haverford Recreation Center. Now, as the owner and creative director of Inspirations Through Movement, she is watching dancers truly shine. Her choreography has also been seen in musical theater productions such as Legally Blonde, A Christmas Carol, Drowsy Chaperone, and Joseph as well as being featured in several dance performances in PA. She also has a passion for performing and has most recently been seen as Veronica in Chicago, Sally in A Christmas Carol, and Connie in A Chorus Line. Through ITM, we as a community are building dancers to be their very best in all aspects of art...and to live their passion! Our promise to you is to help your dancer realize their dream and to develop their true potential and creative selves.

Bara Burden
Tap Teacher
Bara Burden is originally from Prague, Czech Republic. Her dance career started at the age of 5 in ballet and gymnastics class.
Her own tap dance company "Tappy Dancers," was established in January 1999 after her first “tap dance visit” in the USA. Her competition success includes 2 Czech Tap Dance Championship titles {2000 in Adult Dou and 2001 Adult small groups}. In December 2001, Tappy Dancers took 7th place during the World Tap Dance Championship in Germany. Her partnership with US Tap dance community started in 1998 and lead into international Tap Dance Festival Praha-DC-Philly, which took place in Prague four times between 2001 and 2006.
For the past 20 years, Bara has been living, teaching, and performing in the USA. She became a member of Tap Team Two & Company and had been performing for Young Audiences of PA, NJ, MD, VA, TX and IN {2003-2013}. Tap Team Two & company has been part of Philadelphia area dance community for over 30 years and still participates in local dance and music events. Bara also has been teaching Tap to all ages and levels at local dance studios past 13 years.


Ryan Edwards
Student Administrative Assistant
Ryan Edwards is a Sophomore at Haverford High School.
Ryan has been dancing with Inspirations Through Movement since Summer 2021. Having been a part of the company for quite some time, in Fall 2024, Ryan's interest began to lean towards being a choreographer. His contemporary number, Anxious, went on to win 1st place in the Student Choreography category in both competitions the number was submitted towards. This season, you will not only see Ryan on stage, but behind the desk as well! We are so excited to have him continue to grace us with his talents both on and off stage!



Kelsey Nieckoski PT, DPT
Advanced Ballet, Pointe and Pre-Pointe teacher
Kelsey began dancing at the age of three at Ginny Lee Dance Studio. At the age of
seven, she furthered her training at Pottstown Dance Theatre where she joined the
intensive program focusing on Vaganova ballet technique as well as many other dance
forms. She studied in the Academy program under Michelle Jones Wurtz, and privately
under ballet masters Jerzy Golek, Phyllis Dersh Rudzitis, Andre Ustinov, and Elena
Martinson. While a student at PDT, Kelsey had the opportunity to perform in London,
England, during the 2012 Olympic Games. She has studied at a variety of intensive
ballet programs including, The Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Berks Ballet Theater,
Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet, Academy of International Ballet, and The Rock School
Philadelphia. She was a member of the Schuylkill Valley Regional Dance Company
where she performed many corp, soloist, and eventually principal roles. She currently
performs professionally with Melange Contemporary Dance Company.
Kelsey holds a BA from Widener University where she majored in Psychology
and minored in Fine Arts with a concentration in Dance Performance. She graduated
from Alvernia University in 2021 with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy and now
specializes in treating dancers and other performing artists of the Philadelphia suburbs.
Kelsey enjoys collaborating in both her medical and dance careers.

Samantha Yolango, Competition Choreographer
Samantha Yolango, originally from Long Island, New York, is an undergraduate student at Villanova University. Her dance career started at age two when she began with ballet and tap. Later adding hip hop, musical theater, jazz, contemporary, and salsa to her toolbox of dance styles, she thoroughly enjoys the many varied styles of dance and performing each in their own unique way. She has gone on to win national and world titles, both as a performer and as a choreographer. She hopes to help inspire others to be creative through dancing and performing.

Robert Tricarico
Head of Media and Marketing
Mr. Robert or Magic man, as some of the students have nicknamed him, has been working with Inspirations for the past 2 years. From videos to our website, Robert has worked to not only help promote our company, but highlight your students in the material we put out. He has been working with children and teens for the past 5 years, and is passionate about them continuing to grow be develop in their passions in life.
