Lyrical & Contemporary Classes
Our Lyrical and Contemporary program here at ITM focuses on self expression with proper techniques for that "all classes rolled into one" sort of feel. We combine various aspects of Ballet, Jazz, Acro, and Modern dance into our classes, making your dancer feel strong and pretty all at once! While our lyrical style focuses on fluidity, our contemporary style packs a punch with sharper movements and modern tones. Lyrical will be offered to all age groups, with a touch of contemporary added into the aspects of training.
Dress code for all Lyrical and Contemporary Classes: Girls - Leotard, Tights, ballet shoes. Boys - Activewear pants, tee shirt, ballet shoes. No bracelets, necklaces, chains. All hair must be pulled back and secured. Only stud earrings allowed.
Lyrical Level 1 & 2

Time: Mondays 7:30pm-8:15pm
Ages: 7+ years old
Description:
This class will include techniques pulled from ballet, and contemporary dance
forms, creating a combined technique that will make your dancer feel beautiful and strong! A
more contemporary style with a jack-of-all-trades feel. This is a good class for exploration and is
highly adaptable and fun. This class pairs well with any of our classes to give an extra boost to
technique and dance possibilities. Can be taken with any Ballet to better improve technique and
posture, turns, and technique

Time: Tuesdays 6:30-7:30pm
Ages: 10+

A more in-depth lyrical training course, for our “jack of all trades” sort of class. Floor work,
jumps and turns, and strong Contemporary Skills will be explored and developed. is class pairs
well with any of our classes to give an extra boost to technique and dance possibilities. Can be
taken with any Ballet to better improve technique and posture, turns, and technique
